Monday --Holiday Tuesday Lesson 17 Rounding numbers to a given place value. Round mixed numbers and decimal numbers to whole numbers. Estimate measures. Estimate to determine the reasonableness of an answer. HMW: L-17 (1-30) Wednesday Lesson 18 Classify two dimensional geometric objects as lines, rays, or segments. Understand the concept of planes in geometry. Classify pairs of lines as parallel, perpendicular, or skew. Name angles using three letters, one letter, or one number. Classify angles as cute, right, obtuse, and straight. HMW: L-18 (1-30) Thursday Lesson 19 Understand the three key features of polygons: they are plane figures, they have straight sides , and they are closed. Identify regular polygons. Name polygons using the number of sides. Name polygons using letters at each vertex. Identify congruent and similar polygons and understand how dilations relate to similar polygons. HMW: L-19 (1-30) Friday Lesson 20 Classify triangles by angle measures (acute, obtuse, right) and by side lengths (equilateral, scalene, isosceles). Understand that the total of the angle measures of a triangle is 180 . Find an angle measure of a triangle given the other two angle measures. Calculate the area of a triangle. HMW: L-20(1-30)
