LAB RULES

Our lab rules are simple, and respect is the key.
1. Respect others: do not be a distraction, and treat others as you want to be treated.
2. Respect the teacher: Listen carefully and follow directions.
3. Respect yourself: Use time wisely in class.
4. Respect the lab: Treat computers and other property carefully.

3rd Grade and above read and sign the Computer Use Policy at the start of the school year.

OVERALL COURSE GOALS
In our computer technology class, we will learn to USE technology (digital tools and resources) to SOLVE problems, FIND information, SHARE information, and MAKE products.  We will also learn how to PROTECT it and ourselves (digital citizenship).  Each of these elements is addressed at grade-appropriate levels. We follow the CSTA and ISTE technology standards.
 

GRADING PROCEDURES
For K4A, kindergarten and primary grade students, grades are based on participation and effort.   From grade 4 onward, grades are a combination of classwork and participation grades.  We focus on mastery. I *very* rarely assign homework.  With larger projects, we plan for the work to be done during classtime.
